“I remember showing up to NHS before school to join my classmates and protest cuts to arts and foreign language. I took out consecutively larger loans for each of my four years at UMass Amherst, and spent seven years paying them off. I know the impact of underfunding public education, and I know how student debt holds back today’s graduates from fulfilling their goals. I will fight tirelessly to remove these barriers and ensure every person has access to a high-quality education.

Fund the Student Opportunity Act.
Ensure special education is fully funded and accessible.
Relieve the pressure on communities by fully funding regional school transportation.
Enhance STEAM initiatives, civic education, and financial literacy for all students.
Increase access to higher education.

Protecting the health and safety of teachers, students, and families.

Provide state funding for school districts so they can purchase the equipment that they need to safely offer in-person learning.
Work with stakeholders to prepare for remote or socially distant learning at every grade level.
Ensure school districts are reimbursed for unexpected COVID-19 costs.
