Hewett brings her climate policy experience to 1st Essex race
Amber Hewett is running for state representative to help save the world — literally.
The Newburyport Democratic environmental activist and policy consultant is running for the 1st Essex seat against incumbent James Kelcourse, R-Amesbury.
“I think we need to set a goal of 100% renewable energy by 2035,” Hewett said.

Hewett to appear on ballot in state rep. race
Amber Hewett, a local resident seeking to unseat state Rep. James Kelcourse, R-Amesbury, this fall, has secured enough signatures to be on the ballot, her campaign announced.
